Military Diversion Program

Penal Code section 1001.80 provides for a Misdemeanor Military Diversion program if you are or were a member of the U.S. military and meet certain criteria.

This program includes DUI offenses: Penal Code section 1001.80(l) states: a misdemeanor offense for which a defendant may be placed in a pretrial diversion program in accordance with this section includes a misdemeanor violation of Section 23152 or 23153 of the Vehicle Code

Veterans Treatment Court

Penal Code 1170.9 requires the court to consider Veterans Treatment Court for someone who is eligible for probation and was, or is, a member of the U.S. military and meets certain criteria.
